Watching an episode of Medical Investigation I noticed in one scene Natalie only had one earring in. Two seconds later, she’s wearing them both. Then the right one has gone again. I’d understand more if she wasn’t wearing any as the scenes were shot at different times and it was just a continuity lapse - the fact she’s only wearing one though probably means Kelli just forgot to put the other one in when shooting the scene again, which I find completely adorable! Lol.
What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?
Let’s see… I went on holiday on my own. That was a good experience.
Did you keep your new year’s resolution?
Some of them. Not all. I always make lots, that way I have a chance of keeping some of them!
Did anyone you know give birth?
My cousin had a little girl :-)
Did anyone you know get married?
Yes, I went to my friend’s wedding in October :-)
What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
A boyfriend!!

Ireland, USA.

Hmm… Saving up and paying for my holiday, perhaps. Or having the guts to quit my job!

Hmm… not sure. Perhaps that I didn’t see my friends as much as I’d have liked.

Um… my holiday? Other than that… Ooh, my iphone. That was just into 2010 because it was early January. Sad to say it but it has CHANGED MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER.

Room, by Emma Donoghue, Handle with Care by Jodi Picoult, The History of Love by Nicole Krauss (although I haven’t quite finished it yet).
What was the best film you saw?
Inception, and Toy Story 3. Can’t really compare the two!

Hmm… I think The Flood by Take That.
What are you most excited about in 2011?
Take That concert, hopefully a holiday if I can afford it, having a bit of time off to relax and try a few new things :-)
What was the most important thing you learnt in 2010?
That sometimes you have to do things which are difficult in the short term because they’re right in the long term. I think I learnt that one a while ago but under different circumstances…
Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder? Happier, I think. Certainly less stressed and more relaxed!

Lie to Me - The Truth!
It’s hard to believe that it’s 10pm in downtown Los Angeles as a gigantic crane of spotlight focuses on Lie to Me star Tim Roth sprinting down a rain-splashed street dressed in a Prada tuxedo.
It’s a cinematic, high-speed chase featuring Tim as Cal Lightman, the world’s leading human lie-detector. Legs pumping, he hardly breaks a sweat as he performs the adrenaline-bursting scene over and over again, so the cameras can capture it from every possible angle. But this dismal, rainy setting is just a spectacular illusion, as Executive Producer Vahan Moosekian explains. “We wanted to see right the way down the street, so we had a water truck to wet its surface - it looks good, as it reflects the light,” he says. “Then we had 15 huge lights on an industrial crane shine onto the street - the lights are so tall you can’t see them, and that’s how we get the ambient lighting.”
The scene is for episode four of the new third season, which you can see this month (Tue 25) during a recap ahead of the next new episodes coming soon. In this one, Cal meets a woman in hospital and is smitten. But all is not as it seems. He’s fallen for a thief who seduces him to gain access to, and steal, a valuable emerald in the local museum. So, for a man who’s world-class at detecting lies, she’s not exactly the gem he thought!
Here’s what happened on set…
1. He scrubs up well
“Cal Lightman wears quite grungy clothes, but when he dresses up in his Prada tuxedo he looks terrific,” says Vahan. “He’s come out of the museum after discovering the emerald has been stolen and he has chased after his date’s mysterious accomplice (the museum caretaker) who’s speeding away in a cab. Lightman realises he’s got no chance of catching him.”
2. Run, Cal, Run!
“We try to shoot the show in a very cinematic way, from various angles, like a feature film, so we closed five streets and had Tim chase the robber’s car,” says Vahan. “We use a special piece of equipment called an E-Cart - an electric-powered cart that can travel high-speeds carrying the camera. It runs with Tim so we’re able to keep up with him and can get the shot. It’s electric because we can’t have an engine running while we’re recording dialogue, as you would hear it. You can reverse the camera so it is behind Tim as the E-Cart follows by his shoulder letting us see things from his perspective.”
3. The Everyman
“Tim is delightful, he’s not a diva like a lot of terrific movie stars with big egos,” reveals Vahan. “He entertains everyone on set and he’s very good at keeping our morale high, despite working such daunting hours. Tim has a working-class background and he hasn’t forgotten that. He genuinely cares about the crew and how hard they work. Everyone has a lot of respect for him.”
4. Little White Lies
Cal Lightman is confronted by his team outside the museum. They demand to know why he let the robber get away. “We use a lot of special effects in Lie to Me,” reveals Vahan. “We need the audience to think we’re in Washington when we’re actually in LA. We photograph green screens on streets, so we can put landscapes of Washington in the background.”

So, there was a scene where Cal was confronted by his team in front of the museum… that didn’t make the final cut. I’m assuming it was just Loker and Torres, since Foster already confronted him about it in his office… Will have to wait for season three DVDs to check out the deleted scenes!
